Greetings,
Attached to this message is Usurper 0.20d. Compared to the previous version this one has changed in one way. The size of the usurper.exe file has been drastically reduced. This has been done to conserve memory and avoid strange phenomena.


upgrading
------------
1. if you have a 0.20x version installed then you only have to overwrite the existing files.
2. if you are upgrading from an earlier version then follow the instructions in the README! file.

I remember running usurper 10 years ago on a single line 2400bps bbs,
then started it up again last year as a telnet bbs...

Hey Jake and the rest of the crew,

I've run Usurper FOREVER it seems like on my BBS! Currently not installed, but a friend of mine, an ex-Co-SysOp, informed me that there was a new version out and since I had just upgraded the OS (only reason Usurper isn't installed) I should download the usurper20d.zip.... Funny thing is there is NO link here in the forums to it.... But I found it!
Hope I don't get in trouble posting the link here.

Hey guys sysop of the Rat's Nest BBS here. Just dropped by to see if there was an update past 19b beta and boy was I surprised. You've done a great job Jacob!

I'd have to say that Usurper has usurped my time plenty.
Very fun and the compitition is what keeps folks comin back.

I've finally got my BBS back up after a while had to modify a lot of files in order to get the bbs back up and running. Hope I get a user base.

on my machine version c works just fine. But version d will not work correctly, on launch (for BBS or local usurper /L) it takes roughly two minutes for the game to open. Making it unusable.

Win98, 400mhz, 160mb ram running this BBS.

I hope for future versions, you can continue to release a version "c" and a version "d" so that people for whom d does not work can continue upgrading. I don't know why d has that problem.

Included in the zip file is the install for the larest version and also the GNU Source code.

So what's going on with usurper?
I'm having problems getting it to run in local mode thru dosbox. I cant run it any other way since im using 64bit windows 7.

is this board still active or is usurper all but dead now?
