I've got two usurpers running on my synchronet setup, everything worked fine on the first, now the drop file which i have set as the same for both configs, is pulling from the same place and messing up which account is getting to login, i.e. the person who logs in first to the second config always gets the same account and so on in order. this makes it difficult for me to run a competition for it between me and some friends since we can get each others accounts depending on when we log in. alternately i have many other people logging into my main usurper that still works without a hitch, but i don't wanna reset it and just run the comp there. i wanna have two up and working via telnet/synchronet. i was thinking i could just change to second setup to use the other dorinfo( the first is running off dorinfo1 atm) but i wasn't sure how i should go about this. do i need to give it a direct path into my secondary directory so it can make nodes 1-4 pop there instead of the primary area?
thanks in advance hope to hear from you soon.

Re: multi node problems.
I haven't answered this earlier, as I was hoping some with SychroNet, would answer, which they still may. I think you do have to have different pathnames for the diferent doors, but again NOT being familar with SynchroNet, not positive as to what is really needed. I do know that there are quite a few SynchroNet systems that have multiple doors, and multiple Usurper Doors. You might also(if you haven't already) ask a similar question on the SynchroNet forums.Fallen18 wrote:I've got two usurpers running on my synchronet setup, everything worked fine on the first, now the drop file which i have set as the same for both configs, is pulling from the same place and messing up which account is getting to login, i.e. the person who logs in first to the second config always gets the same account and so on in order. this makes it difficult for me to run a competition for it between me and some friends since we can get each others accounts depending on when we log in. alternately i have many other people logging into my main usurper that still works without a hitch, but i don't wanna reset it and just run the comp there. i wanna have two up and working via telnet/synchronet. i was thinking i could just change to second setup to use the other dorinfo( the first is running off dorinfo1 atm) but i wasn't sure how i should go about this. do i need to give it a direct path into my secondary directory so it can make nodes 1-4 pop there instead of the primary area?

When I set up the Gameserver system, I found that precise pathnames were critical for each door. At times I had as many as 10 different Usurper doors active. But do to my having to do manual daily maintenances, and a lack of personal time to do them, I haven't had those systems active for several years now.

multiple usurpers
I have two going, and had no problems. I was a little confused by your post. You want two side by side Usurpers going, nothing fancy, right? It sounds like you either have something wrong with your dropfile config in Synchronet or your second usurper is misconfigured somehow...
Sounds like you're either looking in the wrong place for the dropfile (ie, node1 dir instead of node2 thus logging on as the person on node1) or looking at stale dropfiles (like an old door.sys and then you changed synchro to put something else like dorinfo.def but usurper's looking at the old door.sys) .. I dunno, can we get more info? Having 2 usurpers should be no different than running 2 of any door or just running 2 doors period regardless of what they are. There's nothing special so there's probably something obvious you've missed and will later find and say \"oops\" about.
