Spell casting bug

Here is a bug in usurper that one of my users is currently having which I can not find a solution for:

Anyone have any suggestions to a fix?

My preliminary test so far has not duplicated the bug. I am using an Orc Magician at level 81.
One clarification, Spell (K): is Power word KILL which uses 110 mana, and only affects one target.
Spell (L): is Summon Demon, which uses 120 mana, and will attack one target each attack round.

As I am repeatedly useing these spells, I have set my test players mana at 18,400 (highly unlikely in a real game).
My test player also has 1500 dungeon encounters.
Remember: DON'T ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME!
