I love Usurper. I grew up playing it. However, I have not played a computer game in like 7-8 years. I am looking for a game like Usurper that I can buy, but is much newer and up to date. I believe this game is a Role-playing type game. I have searched role-playing games and found out that the top new games are The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Guild Wars. Are these gaems like Usurper?
I want a game like Usurper where you play with other people on-line and team up to take control, but is new. Any recomendations???

It's hard to know what you mean by 'like usurper', but I take it you mean the 'feel' of the game world... medieval style with dark & seedy undertones, and lots of room for character interaction.

New big budget games (in my opinion) have shunned a lot of features like character interaction and immersion in favour of high-tech graphics, physics and quality voice acting.

World of Warcraft is somewhere you can find plenty of other players, but it's not exactly the same style as Usurper. Eve Online do put effort into immersing the players into the world (with game news stories and such), but that's a space sci-fi.

I would keep my eyes on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, it's in limited beta now, and seems to be of the same kind of genre. It is meant to have the most advanced AI of an MMORPG so far - hopefully that means greater immersion for the characters. There's plenty more to say about it, but you should check out the web site to make up your own mind.
