delay on start and maintenance issue...

I'm running Ele under a Celeron 500 and Windows 2K. When starting usurper the game takes about 5 minutes (with 100% cpu usage. Does anyone have a clue what it's doing?), then tries to read the door file, then just hangs there, with the message that it's reading door.sys. The difference locally is that it still takes about 5 minutes and the game does start and has no speed issues.

Also, when I run maintenance, it takes about 5 minutes, then asks for a key press, then maintenance runs normally. I've talked to multiple people and none of them have experienced this. All of the rest of my doors run flawlessly. Nightly maintenance runs automatically (I don't use the auto maint feature due to how long npc maintenance takes), so this is really inconvenient.

Exaggeration...

Ok, it takes 30 seconds, not 5 minutes :). It's still way too much time for a door to take to start. Once I turned FOSSIL on in usurp.ctl it stopped having additional wait time after reading the drop file. I've timed it now and every way I've tried to start Usurper (Local login on the bbs, local command line, telnetting in remotely and running maintenance) it takes almost exactly 30 seconds before anything happens.

Any ideas?

I forgot to specify that I'm running 20d.

20a works fine...

Ok, this is definitely an issue with 20d, 20a works just fine for me and starts up quickly. I'd rather run the newest version unless there's no resolution for my 30 second delay on starting usurper in any form.
