Being Present For Your Child's Birth?

What do you do so that you can be present every time? I was present at the last one of my NPC's childbirth and it gave me massive XP and let me name it or somethin'. Supwit'dis?

Dude...
From what I've learned by trial and error is that the first parent to log on when the child is born gets the experience boost and gets to name the kid.
Works nice if you are married to a real player and you can log in before they do...With an NPC mate, it's a crap shoot for when the computer logs in the NPC.

Oooh... that makes sense. Yeah, that might be why I rarely ever see this, 'cause the NPC's 'log in' when the maintenance runs. Damnit.

Well, that can't totally be true, Zim... 'cause I always log in before Ridella on Vortex and while some times it says I was present, there's others that it doesn't. At least I've gotten to name my kids... and force me to have sex with myself about 10 times a day...
...wait, I mean... damnit.
