Immortal Levels?

Hi again, thanks for all the help you guys have provided me. You've answered pretty much all of my questions. I do have one more that's been nagging at me though. I've had an immortal for a long time and I have yet to see ANY progress on him. I'm sitting at 4000 something havre which has taken me several months to accumulate and Manwe still scoffs at me whenever I ask for more power. So my question is, exactly what does it take to advance immortal levels? There's a guy on Darkside that's \"Spirit3\" rank, I think thats what its called. Nobody else is past \"Lesser Spirit\".

I hadn't answered anything on this yet, as I was hoping someone else might be able to better answer your questions.
I haven't done any play with the Immortals in quite some time. When I last did,(as I recall), we were never able to really determine all that will help players attain higher levels as immortals.
I do recall that the more followers you have the better, also that if any of your followers will sacrifice either gold or possessions it will improve your havre. But as to how many havre one needs to advance, I have no idea, nor as to how many levels the immortal can even reach.
As I recall, Jacob had not finished all that he had wanted to do with that part of the game, and I believe he was also asking for input and suggestions for that area.
Haveing said all that though, I really probably haven't helped answer much, which is why I waited some.
But then maybe I'm just having a senior moment.

Thank you for your response. Yeah I was seeing that the immortal part of the game didn't seem quite fully developed. The thing that gave me hope for progress was the other guy who was Spirit3 (I think) so I've still been playing my immortal for a while. I've gotten 50 something followers with over 4k havre with no rank up in sight, so I'm hoping if I hit 5000 then I can get somewhere. Thanks again, I'll be back again with more I'm sure.

Did Jakob ever make the source code available for download? It would be pretty easy for us to look in there and see what requirements (if any) are defined in the current version. I couldn't find a link to the source anywhere. Lenny, do you know where it is?
Thanks,
Don

Hayle thar dpezet and Fenris Wolf
You are right there. The source would help answer questions like this, even if it were a pre-release copy.
I haven't heard any more on the source code release, nor exactly where Jakob intends to have it distributed from.
A link here at the forum would be great. If he needs a website with enough MB of storage, I have that for almost any size. My knaper.org site is hosted by my local ISP, and when I asked the owner about storage limits, he pointed to a 19 inch rack of high capacity hard drives, and he said I'd have a long way to go to fill up even one of the drives. On my knaper.com site, hosted by a hosting service, I have about a gig of space left.
Worst case, I could store it on my home network system.
I have room for about 1tb available. My wifes notebook is the smallest with 80gb

For the record, I just recently received immortal rank 2 \"Minor Spirit\" and the requirement for it was 5000 havre. Sure takes a lot to advance one single level as an immortal.

I'll post here if I get further ranks.

Used a hex editor to bump Havre to 1,714,906,893
Ranks I got:
1) Lesser Spirit
2) Minor Spirit
3) Spirit
4) Major Spirit
5) Minor Deity
6) Deity
7) Major Deity
8) ASCII Garbage ??
9) DemiGod
10) God
11) ASCII Garbage
After that he just yells at me.
Even at God I haven't managed to curse any children, but did successfully poison relations once in a while.
Just a bit of info.
** Should note, having players sacrifice things to an Immortal has very diminishing returns. An item worth 1k gold will help 2~4 points. An item worth (hacked obviously) 2 billion gold does 8.

Should also note that the bounty on my immortal still stands, but with \"EMPTY\" as the name.
