Usurper Board

Anyone have any luck getting Usurper to run on a Synchronet BBS. I keep getting: ERROR Invaldi Parameter.

I have 7 nodes. I have the USURP.CTL, USURP1.CTL through USURP7.CTL in place. The DDSETUP would not work on my PC so I configured it by hand.

If anyone could let me some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

what's saying invalid paramater, the game? then you must be sending the wrong paramater when you have it run the game. have you read the docs? have you read any of the support topics on this forum for how to set it up? have you tried running the game manually using the paramaters you told synchronet or your batch file (however you set it up)? it should be pretty obvious to fix if you look at your config if you're getting an invalid parameter...doesn't sound like that would have the least bit to do with your ddsetup...

your synchro should say to execute something like usurper.bat %#
and your usurper.bat should say something like usurper.exe /N%1 /PC:\\SBBS\\NODE%1 if you're on windows

of course both must be set up to look in the right directories, etc...but that's obvious

i really did believe that everything was configured correctly. but i may be mistaken.

also, i saw that usurper needs a fossil driver. would it need this if i am using telnet. i am wondering if synchronet does not have a fossil driver.

it is probably obvious that i am new to this.

now when i run usurper and netfoss they both can not find door.sys ... i can't even find it ... but all the other door games are working that were preconfigured in synchronet.

when i run it from the BBS i get a dos window that states:

can not open dorinfo1

when i run it locally i get:

error: invalid parameter

now, i know that i have something setup up wrong, but i can not find it.

Usurper is pretty easy. You just need to pass
path to the dropfile on the command line like
above and it's easy.


Edit USURP.CTL in Usurper directory and make
sure the following are set correctly. Also,
check everything else while you're in there.
