Okey.. Im in fulltime playing this with my friends now.. but we have a bit of a odd question.. is it by SOMEWAY possible to make usurper restart a new day after lets say 12 hour instead of 24?
Not sure it can be done.. maybe the gamesrv kan do it somehow? Or is it some setting somewhere that can be altered?

Re: Odd question
If you can schedule your Windows to do a daily task at say 12:01 PM each day you may be able to. The main problem otherwise, is Maintenance will not run if someone is online at the time. As I recall some of the older BBS systems used to be able to limit user available time, whenever a system event was was upcoming. I have'nt seen anything like that in gamesrv.Ninave wrote:Okey.. While I was running my gameserv connection, I set auto-maintenance to NO, so that I didn't have to worry about users being stranded online. Then I ran the batch file to run maintenance once all were clear. Using the same methodology, you could give your users a "head-p" that you needed them to all log-off so that you could run a mid-day maintenance.
Following are the excerpts from SYSOP.DOC regarding maintenance commands.
-=-=-=-=-=-
"/FMAINT"
This command is only useful if you have disabled the
automatic maintenance. /FMAINT will only start maint
if it is necessary. It will not run maintenance more than
once a day.
"/HMAINT" This command will unconditionally force Usurper to perform
maintenance.

When I ran my daily maintenance once a day I would use the /fmaint
command, but if I were testing on some of the testing doors, I would use /hmaint on the command line. That can be done with a batch file that will be in the usurper folder, and can contain the single line
This could be expanded to delete any left over onliners.dat or maint.flg's as well prior to actuallyy runing the Hard-maintenance.batch-file wrote: usurper.exe /hmaint
