Possible bug & immortal question

I *love* Usurper and was so thrilled when I found out earlier this year that while I no longer used Qmodem, BBS's were still alive and well.

At any rate, I got a sysop of a BBS I frequent (Jumpstart BBS, http://www.exciter.ws) to install v.20b. What little I've played with it so far has been great, but, I have noticed a slight possible bug. It wasn't happening all of the time, but occasionally when I was pressing a key that wasn't available in the menu I was in (the last time I made it happen was pressing \"d\" when I was still in the status menu) I'd automatically exit out of the game. Anyone else noticed this?

Also, are there any plans to further expand the immortal section or has it been expanded for more activities in v.20x?

aye hath not tried the d option, but wyllst see ifn aye can get some weired results fer Jakob. Also most likely, he will see this post in his AM, and take a look. the more detail about when, the easier to find and fix.
aye doth not no ifn he hath any immediate plans fer the immortals, but aye doth be certain he would like ta hear any suggestions regarding immortal activities. Post them here or directly to his e-mail. He has his regular e-mail that is posted herein the forum.

Thanks fer convening yer sysop ta enstall version 0.20b. Can ye check ta see ifn the sysop wouldst like fer me to include the site in myne telnet-links page fer usurper.

Update 8/30/04 We tried to get it to bail out of S)tatus by using the \"d\" key. Never exited from any key except \"q\" which just exited from the Status menu. HOWEVR I was also in Local mode when I tried this. --- Charles

1. I have not seen the being-kicked-out problem. But I suspect it is memory related (usurper is memory hungry). I am trying to make it less so.

2. The Immortal section sucks in right now. There are plans for expansion here though . I'm considering some options here, whether the Immortals should level up or not among a lot of other possibilities.

Instead of making a new topic, I figured I'd post here.

So, I found something amusing, in Usurper v0.19 BETA(and probably previous versions.). Check it out.

See the problem? No? Well, I'll explain further. . . See. . .I was playing a female character, when this happened! The blind, old fart pulled a Marcy on me(see Peanuts' characters \"Peppermint Patty\" and \"Marcy\") and called me \"sir\"!

Just a little knitpick on one of my favourite BBS Door games. :3

The dropping issue being memory related would make sense - it seems to happen more if I'm impatient and getting ahead of myself in selecting options that aren't yet on the menu that's popped up.

As for the immortals, in versions like .19x, is there any point other than to see which one can get the most followers? I just rercently went ahead and decided to \"try it out\" on another bbs and another immortal and I were wondering if there is any way to get anything higher than a lesser ranking?

Lenny: I'll ask him if he'd like to be included when he's back from vacation. I'm sure he would, the bbs needs more people.
