Customize usurper?

How would I go about customizing Usurper?
Is ther a way?

I would like to only do minor things like changing class names and races and stuff like that.

and some of the defalut menus.

Could someone recomend what programs to use for \"re-coding\" and such.

Jakob is working on releasing the source code into GNU. Then you would be able to do the things you suggest using Borland Pascal, or possible some other compiler type programming platform..

haakon of the Vortex BBS, has probably modified his Usurper installation more than anyone else. You might join play at Vortex BBs to get an idea of how existing things can be modifed.

You seem to know alot do you know somewhere where I can see the dmg/def algorithms and other stats, would help alot with item making and such, right now it's just guess work looking at other items around the same lvl.

and what does all the stats effect?

I haven't seen any stat definititions. I don't think thety are available at this time either.
