Can someone tell me (or PM me) what exactly happens when you purchase items from the Drug Palace and Steroid Store.

I'm currently playing a Troll Assassin and would like to build him up.

It's kinda self-explainatory isn't it? The Drug Palace, you go in and buy hallucigenic drugs to trip on, I don't know if they raise stats at all or not. I've never messed with the 'roids 'cause I don't know if they raise the stats permanently or not.
